This big handsome guy is the definition of gentle giant energy. Irving is sweet, affectionate, and has the kind of soulful eyes that make you fall for him instantly. He loves being around people, enjoys attention, and is perfectly content strolling around the yard taking in all the smells at his own pace. And according to his foster mom? He’s basically the perfect house guest. Irving is doing amazing in his foster home. He’s potty trained, crate trained, great on a leash, and gets along wonderfully with both big and little dogs. He has a mellow, easygoing personality and settles in nicely at home. He’s the kind of dog that doesn’t ask for much… just a comfy place to land and people to love. Irving is a 3 Year Old American Bulldog Mix and he weighs 70 lbs. Sadly, Irving tested positive for heartworms. But please don’t let this scare you away! He will begin heartworm treatment in his foster home. The cost for the heartworm treatment is completely covered. We can provide you with more info about his heartworm treatment if you are interested in adopting him. Once his treatment plan is completed, Irving will be able to live a normal healthy life with no restrictions! ADOPTING A DOG Our dogs have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and tested for heartworms (if 7 months or older). If you have a dog or children we ask that you bring them with you to meet our dogs to make sure it is a good match. We are open for meet and greet adoptions at our shelter on weekends. No appointment is necessary for weekend adoptions. Our weekend hours vary and we also have satellite adoption events every weekend.
