About Koda Blue
Koda Blue is looking for a stable, understanding home after a tough chapter. This large, independent mix of American Staffordshire Terrier and Catahoula Leopard Dog is deeply loyal and intelligent. Koda does well with other dogs, especially after slow introductions, and enjoys group play at daycare. He’s house-trained, non-destructive, and prefers to keep things calm and predictable. While he’s not a fit for homes with cats, he could do well with older kids, ideally 14 and up, who respect his need for space and gentle encouragement. Koda’s transition hasn’t been easy; he’s still processing the loss of someone important, so he needs adopters who can give him patience and time. He finds comfort in toys, exploring, and checking in for affection now and then—just enough to let you know he’s there. Koda’s happiest with people who appreciate his style: loyal, sometimes cautious, and never demanding. What he needs most is someone who’ll allow him to heal and rediscover joy in a quiet home. If you’re ready to help a special dog start a new chapter, Koda Blue would like to meet you. Start your journey together! Apply now.
