She enjoys spending time outside with her people and is happiest simply relaxing by your side. Shelby has a gentle nature and forms strong bonds with the people she trusts. Like many hounds, Shelby enjoys using her voice, so don’t be alarmed by her bark — it’s just part of her personality and charm. Shelby especially loves women and can be cautious around men at first due to her past. With patience, kindness, and slow introductions, she continues to build confidence and positive relationships. Shelby would do best as the only dog in the home where she can receive all the love and attention she deserves. Cats are unknown at this time. If you are interested in meeting Shelby, please visit the shelter during our open hours; Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri 10a-12p & 2p-4p, Thurs 10a-12p & 2p-5:30p, and Saturday 9a-1p. Adoption application are done in person at the shelter. If you do not own your home, bring consent from the property owner to have a dog on the property. As always, if you have another dog in the home, plan to bring them for a meet before you complete the adoption. Adoption fees: 6m and younger $250, 7m-5y $200, 6y-10y $150, 11y and older $100.
