About Cooper
Cooper is a three-year-old Yellow Labrador Retriever with a ton of energy and a strong opinion about his toys. Anything that bounces or squeaks grabs his attention, and he’ll keep you in a game of fetch for as long as you’re willing. He was lucky enough to land at the rescue after leaving an overcrowded shelter. Now he’s searching for the right people to share his unstoppable spirit. Under all the energy is a truly happy, friendly dog who greets everyone with enthusiasm. Cooper is big on full-body wags and good intentions, loves food, and actually responds when training involves snacks. He’s already reliable with “sit”—as long as treats are in play. The team describes him as a Level 3: he needs real outlets for that drive, a thoughtful structure, and someone who will dig in with him. If you’re up for it, he’ll give you everything he’s got in return. Cooper does OK with some dogs but usually prefers doing his own thing instead of getting too involved. Cats are unknown. He’s best suited for families with older kids who can keep up and handle a large, excitable pup. Cooper wants a home where daily exercise is part of life and his people think being outside is the best part of the day. He needs physically capable handlers while he settles in and a patient mindset for the adjustment. If you’re looking for a loyal, athletic sidekick to share your adventures, Cooper will not disappoint. Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin!
