Meet Katie! She came from a shelter in Southern Illinois. She's an adorable, compact girl being mostly a brown tabby, with a white chest and feet, and the cutest pink nose! Katie is a little different than your average cat. After she arrived at Helping Paws, it was noticed that her tail is fully limp. After further investigation by our vet, it's determined that she has nerve damage in her back end and her tail is completely paralyzed. This does not stop her from jumping up and down or from zooming around the room! Katie is on a limited diet, and her wet food does contain a laxative which she will most likely need for life. We do recommend that she continues to use clay litter. Every now and then she'll leave a tiny poop behind but she does her best to stay clean! Katie is a playful, silly, and a little bit sassy of a kitty who is looking for a special someone to give her a second chance. She still has a kitten side to her, and loves kneading and suckling on her blankies for comfort. She is hilarious and happy despite her differences, and will absolutely spice up your life!
