About Pookie
Pookie is a small, shy black and white cat who spent her early years in a crowded, dark environment with few chances to socialize or play. She was rescued along with many other cats from a difficult situation, and until recently, the world outside a basement light was a mystery to her. Now, she's found comfort in her new friend Willy, and they've become inseparable—always seeking each other's company and gentle affection. To help Pookie thrive, she'll need to go home with Willy, and both cats will do best in a quiet, patient household they can gradually adjust to at their own pace. Pookie is FIV-positive, which simply means she has a weaker immune system, but with proper care she should enjoy a normal, healthy life. FIV is not transmissible to people, and it's only a concern for other cats through aggressive biting, which is not Pookie's nature. She's house trained, spayed, and up to date on vaccinations. Pookie is a Taurus—true to her sign, she's steady and loyal once she trusts you. Ready to offer a peaceful home where Pookie and Willy can discover what a loving life feels like?
