Hudson appears to be a pretty classic handsome Bernese Mountain Dog-- but could be a mix of aussie too? We do not know but he is A HUNK and love of a dog! He currently weighs about 70 pounds and is estimated to be 4 years old. Hudson loves attention and just hanging out with his person. When it isn't too hot outside, he will run and play a little bit. He also enjoys rolling in the grass. He gets along well with the 2 male and 2 female adult dogs in his foster home. He also met a 6 week old puppy that was running around for just a few seconds and did great. Hudson would love to live somewhere that is NOT hot & humid Houston, Texas. He was found in a town just east of Houston (Baytown). The finders could not find his family so was taken in by a dog rescue. Hudson seems to have pretty typical Bernese Mountain Dog traits and really fits the "gentle giant" description. He is calm and quiet in the house. He LOVES getting attention. He is a little bit opinionated. If I ask him to go outside or into his crate and he doesn't want to, he just goes where he wants to go and lies down. If I call him, he decides if he wants to come or not. He does not run away, just lies down. I can easily put a leash on him and then lead him wherever I want to go. He likes treats and if there is a good treat involved, he knows sit and down. He is pretty much house-trained, had an initial incident in each foster home like he was nervous, but good after that! Hudson is vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. He remains quiet in his crate or kennel all night. He does usually need a good reason (treat or being led with a leash) to go into the crate or kennel.
