I'm a male dog with lots of love and affection to give. I'm a dignified and brave dog, but I'm also incredibly affectionate, gentle, friendly, independent, and quiet. I am very curious and like to explore my surroundings when I’m first settling in, but after I do, I’m an extremely chill dude who likes to lounge and be around my people. I'm also a very smart dog, and can read the room well with social queues from the squad of humans around me, so I know when to mind my business… and I know when it’s time to ask for some love!! I'm also happy just hanging out in my self proclaimed spots in the house. I am loyal to those I love, and will stick by your side through thick and thin. I was brought in by Stay Scharp Rescue because I was a medical case after being labeled as an owner surrender to the shelter…the Scharping family believes I was surrendered because my family couldn’t afford vet care. Due to not being able to afford vet care, I suffered with a chronic ear infection that took 4 months to resolve. I was also heartworm positive. After multiple doctor visits, and an ear canal removal… I’m ready for a family of my own. And don’t you worry - I can still hear you when you call for me! The Scharping’s live on 4 acres and I have no issues when they call me back in after roaming the yard. I am looking for a forever home where I can be the center of attention - just like every doggy wishes for in life. A home where I can receive lots of love. I have lots of doggy friends as at any given time in my foster home, there are 15 friends for me to play with of all shapes and sizes. I also attend dogtopia which is a doggy daycare where I play with all types of friends! If you are looking for a furry friend who will stick by your side, I am the one for you! A note from his rescue directors - Cassidy + Max We are a super small family run rescue - all of the dogs in our organization have been saved by us personally. What that means is that we go ourselves and volunteer at the shelter, all of the dogs take a freedom ride with us, and they come into our home with our three very small children and other animals. We immediately take the animals in our care to the vet to be seen for post shelter or street exam and then we then do a decompression period / stage for a few weeks before taking them to dogtopia which is a doggy daycare for a social assessment before dogs are placed for an adoption.
