Meet Balto! Balto is 2 years old and one of 16 dogs who recently made the journey to us from Puerto Rico in search of a brighter future. From Vieques Humane Society: Balto is a confident, intelligent, energetic, sweet and loving boy. He does best in a cat-free home and can get along with certain dogs, but he is dominant prefers to be the leader of the pack. Balto is very smart and highly food motivated, which makes him a great candidate for training. With a little patience and consistency, he’s eager to learn and will thrive with someone who enjoys working with him.
