About Hippo
Hippo is a three-month-old German Shepherd mix with a big personality and even bigger heart. Raised with his siblings and mom since arriving at the shelter as a tiny pup, Hippo treats every day like a new quest: sniffing out adventure, chasing toys, and looking for a warm lap to land on when he’s tired. He’s bold and curious but has a sweet, melt-in-your-arms side that surfaces the second you pick him up. Hippo’s playful, silly energy brings out smiles, and you’ll find he’s the type to switch from clowning around to cuddling up with no warning. He’s expected to reach around 50 to 60 pounds when fully grown—a good size for hikes, games, and just hanging out. Hippo gets along great with other dogs and children, so he’d fit neatly into a social household where there’s lots to do and lots of hands for petting. With up-to-date vaccinations and his neuter surgery covered in his adoption fee, Hippo is prepped for his next big adventure: joining your family. Interestingly, with a March 1st birthday, he’s a Pisces—so don’t be surprised if he’s extra affectionate. Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin!
