Zohey is a lovely gal who is the perfect medium size if you're looking for a companion who's active without being overwhelming. Don't let her age fool you - this girl still enjoys stretching her legs with time in the fenced yard and would happily join you for a nice long walk. Her foster describes her as affectionate and people-oriented, sharing, "She revels in human company!" Zohey would prefer a home where she isn't left alone for very long stretches, as she enjoys being near her people and a potty break during the day. Zohey is easygoing and well mannered in the house. She's not destructive, isn't interested in chewing toys, and has peacefully coexisted with another senior dog in her foster home. She also did wonderfully on her behavioral assessment. As a true hound, Zohey occasionally likes to "share her opinions" with a classic hoarse bark or bay, so adopters should be prepared for a little hound personality and charm! Zohey is up to date on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped and heartworm negative. She is working through a little coat-and-skin TLC from her "before rescue" days and is responding well.
