About Mother Hen
Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you. Mother Hen arrived at Stray Cat Alliance along with her adorable babies—Eggnacio, Eggwina, and more—who have since found loving homes thanks to their outgoing natures. She, however, is a bit more reserved, as she spent much of her early life without human interaction. Because of this, she’s still quite nervous around people and may need time to settle in. With patience and understanding, there’s hope she’ll blossom in a quiet, loving home, even if she never quite becomes a lap cat. A home environment will help her feel much safer and more at ease. Mother Hen is FeLV and FIV positive. This means she cannot safely share a home with FeLV-negative cats, though her FIV is not easily transmitted and generally doesn’t impact her day-to-day life as much. Humans and dogs are not at risk from either virus—both only affect other cats. Despite these diagnoses, many cats like her live wonderfully fulfilling lives. Keeping her healthy and comfortable indoors is crucial so that she can enjoy as many happy years as possible. Mother Hen's ideal guardian will appreciate her unique circumstances and be committed to her care. She may present a few challenges, but with love and proper support, she will make a deeply grateful and sweet companion. Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin!
