Meet Dax! Dax is an 11-year-old German Shepherd who is looking for his retirement home. Dax was once the ultimate farm dog who enjoyed patrolling his property and checking in on his horses and chickens. Now, Dax waits in the shelter while he completes medication for double ear infections that went untreated for years. He also had a severe skin infection on intake, but that has since been treated. Due to the severity, there is a chance he could have recurring ear infections throughout the rest of his life so potential adopters would need to keep that in mind. He enjoys being outside but also loves being inside with his people. You can usually find this big handsome man sleeping in his bed or enjoying the sunshine in the yard. Dax is said to be good with children and cats as well as horses and chickens.
