Phillip, also known as the Vanilla Thrilla, is a tiny but bossy presence with a healthy dose of attitude and humor. At just 10 pounds, he's the kind of senior Chihuahua who leads his walks and expects you to keep up, not the other way around. After being surrendered with a group of other dogs, he's eased comfortably into a pampered retirement in Whitewater, WI, where he's become a true connoisseur of naps (as long as you don’t interrupt him). His energy is low but he’s brimming with personality—always ready for a short burst of leadership before collapsing into his bed for some well-earned rest. Phillip is well-mannered with other dogs, especially those who understand his need for personal space and steady meal times. He’s food-motivated, a master at supervising kitchen activities, and responds best to treats and respect. While his fondness for canine company is clear, cats are a dealbreaker—he's not interested in feline roommates. Young kids aren't a fit, either; he's got boundaries around being picked up, so homes with older humans work best. Fashion isn’t his thing, and sweaters are a non-starter. What he does love is his toy Lammy and a fluffy bed, preferably next to his person every night. At his age, Phillip's health is impressive with only minor liver monitoring and a daily supplement to note. He’s neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines and preventatives, housebroken (if you stick to his routine), and walks confidently on a leash—no need for a crate.
