KEELY is a sweet little mixed breed short stack girl looking for a home. She's a dachshund mix, about 18 months old and weighing 18 pounds. If she wasn't so tiny we'd guess she's part lab. Keely is a very timid girl. This poor little girl was running as a stray in a rural area and was finally caught. She wants to be loved but it takes some time to earn her trust, it's pretty clear her interactions with humans have not all been positive. If you want a dog who will cover you with kisses upon first meeting, Keely is not the dog for you. But if you're willing to take the time to help Keely feel safe and earn her trust, you'll end up with an absolute gem of a small dog. Our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care.
