Meet Raposa This gorgeous 4 month old Heeler/Pyrenees mix just arrived tonight and is already stealing hearts. Her name comes from the Portuguese word for “fox” because foster mom thought her beautiful red coloring looked just like one (and definitely not because there was leftover fox fabric from the last litter... iykyk ). Raposa is currently weighing in at 39 pounds and is expected to be a BIG girl when fully grown. So far she’s off to a great start — she’s already peed and pooped outside She’s still trying to figure out what all of those tiny meowing creatures are around the house, but she’s adjusting well. Raposa is a little loopy from anesthesia tonight, so she hasn’t officially met the resident chaos crew yet, but through the gates she’s been nothing but tail wags and sweet kisses for the other dogs. We can’t wait to watch this sweet girl settle in and let her personality shine.
