LULU - THE PERFECT DOG "I've had the privilege of being Lulu's guardian for 2 wonderful years. Aside from being a gorgeous American Bulldog, she is without a doubt the most perfect dog. She is now 5 yrs old. Utd on vaccines, microchipped and spayed." Currently located in Illinois. Her owner is a dear sweet friend of mine who is now having health issues. Shes very heart broken to have to rehome her baby. "Lulu has lived with me on the 7th floor of a condo for the last 2 years. She rides the elevator 3 times a day to go out for potty breaks and our walks. She gets walked at 6:30 am and goes all day until 5:30 pm when I get home for our second walk. If you work all day away from home, she is perfect for you. Our final walk for the day is around 10 pm. She has never had an accident in the house, been destructive or slept on furniture. She has her own bed and blanket and loves to make a nest. We live with 3 cats, and they all get along and love one another. Lulu is not a super boisterous dog. She gets excited for walks and treats, but not overly so. Mostly tippy-taps. All who come in contact with her remark how sweet and mellow she is. She is a VERY low energy dog. Our walks are definitely on the slower side. We live in a complex with lots of other dogs and she just loves them all. She would have no problem with a buddy of similar size and temperament. Lulu loves a car ride. Mostly to just nap. This girl loves a nap. When the weather is nice on the weekends, we will go to the farmers' market or to the forest preserves to get a little exercise. She likes to visit with folks and their pets. Her experience with children has been limited with me. We have neighbors with kids but her contact is minimal, just a few head pats here and there while we are taking the elevator. I can say that she does not like loud people in general. Just from my observations of her when we are out and about, I don't think she would be comfortable in a house with kids under 12. *I have to watch her weight and keep it at around 82 lbs. She has had one ACL surgery on her right knee so I give her supplements for joint and connective tissue support. **She also has allergies and needs to be retested. When I adopted her 2 years ago, the serum that Jenny sent with her helped for a while but seemed to stop being e ective after about six months. I think the move from Alabama to Illinois had something to do with it. I started her on different allergy specific supplements and found a good combo. She's been doing well without the serum and only the supplements for over a year until recently."
