This sweet boy has already been through more than any puppy should, and now he just needs someone willing to give him a chance. Meet Wilson Wilson is a 6-month-old Pit/Lab mix with the sweetest personality and a heart full of love. He was found alone in a wildlife management area out in the middle of nowhere, likely dumped after someone no longer wanted him. When he arrived at the shelter, he was severely malnourished and covered in multiple wounds and pressure sores on his legs and backside, likely from laying on hard ground for long periods of time with little body fat for cushioning. Despite everything he has endured, Wilson has remained incredibly friendly, happy, and affectionate. He is responding very well to treatment, working hard on gaining weight, and healing up beautifully. Through it all, he continues to wag his tail and soak up attention from everyone he meets. Wilson is expected to grow into a very large dog, with the vet estimating he could reach around 90 pounds when fully grown. He is still very much a typical puppy and will need continued training, structure, and patience as he learns all the important puppy things. Age: 6 months Gender: Male (not yet neutered) Weight: 30 lbs (currently underweight) Breed: Pitbull Mix/Lab Mix Good with Dogs: Yes Good with Kids: Yes Good with Cats: Not tested yet, but can be tested if needed Potty Trained: Unsure Crate Trained: Unsure Leash Manners: Working on it Wilson has such an awesome personality and truly deserves a fresh start after the life he has had so far.
