Meet Starfish Starfish is an 8-week-old Basset/Bully mix puppy who is just starting her life and looking for a loving home to grow up in. She came to the shelter as part of an owner surrender from a backyard breeder dropping off two litters of unwanted puppies. Shortly after arriving, some of the puppies began getting sick and tested positive for parvo. While many of the puppies did not show symptoms, including Starfish, they were all treated with antibody therapy as a precaution. The good news is that Starfish and the other puppies are now past all of that and doing great. She is healthy, happy, and ready to head north to Wisconsin to find a loving home of her own. Like any young puppy, Starfish is playful, curious, and loves attention from people. She is still learning everything about the world around her and will need a family who can help her with the basics such as potty training, crate training, and learning good household manners. Starfish would do best with a family ready for all the fun (and work) that comes with raising a puppy. With patience, guidance, and lots of love, she will grow into a wonderful lifelong companion.
