You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Spruce is an approximately 4 month old female, mixed breed puppy who came to us as a surrender from an Amish farm. We think she's mixed with poodle, yorkie, maybe Maltese or shih tzu. She's definitely a small breed dog. All of her vet work is covered under her adoption fee of $150. This includes her spay, microchip, and vaccinations, and depending on what is age appropriate, some of this may have to be coordinated with her adopter. Spruce is a pretty shy pup who will need a very patient home that is willing and able to work with her at her pace. She doesn't mind being held and cuddled and we're working on bringing her out of her shell. We can't wait to see the puppy side of her personality emerge! She will need a lot of basic training and should be fine with other dogs, cats, and older kids. She will also require regular grooming due to her breed mix. NOTE: Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.
