Sal loves people deeply and would happily spend 24/7 curled up beside you, resting his head against your neck and reminding you that personal space is overrated. The world can feel a little overwhelming for him sometimes. Loud noises and unfamiliar situations make him nervous, and he responds by becoming extra clingy and submissive. But once he feels safe, his personality shines through in the gentlest ways — rolling over for what his foster calls “tummy tax,” standing up on his hind legs when he wants your attention, and quietly following you from room to room just to be near you. Sal has low energy, some mild vision changes, and a little trouble with stairs, so he’s looking for a calm home where life moves at a softer pace.
