Meet Frida Frida is a 1-year-old German Shepherd who was surrendered due to allergies in the home. She's a young, active girl looking for a family that can keep up with her energy and continue helping her grow into a confident companion. According to her previous owner, Frida is great with kids, crate trained, and potty trained. She has not been around cats. Staff describe Frida as a high-energy dog who enjoys getting out and exploring, though she does tend to pull on leash during walks and will benefit from continued leash training and structure. She already knows how to sit for treats, showing she's food motivated and eager to learn. In the shelter environment, Frida has shown reactivity toward other dogs near her kennel, which is not uncommon in a stressful setting. Because of this, a meet and greet with slow introductions is recommended and continued positive socialization will be important moving forward. Frida would thrive with an active adopter who can provide her with exercise, training, consistency, and mental enrichment.
