About Ella
Ella is a gentle, six-year-old German Shepherd whose world shifted when her owner went into hospice. After her owner's passing, she found a safe space with a foster family who promised she’d be cared for and loved. In this quiet home, Ella is slowly coming out of her shell. She prefers calm routines, unhurried walks, and quiet affection from the people around her. She has shown a soft spot for other animals—greeting a small dog with kindness, minding her manners with a cat, and even showing interest in chickens without any fuss. Loyalty runs deep with Ella; she attaches herself closely to those she trusts and thrives in an environment where patience and consistency are the norm. Ella has experienced more loss than many dogs ever do, but she’s ready to settle into her next and hopefully final chapter. If she never finds the right home, she’s safe with her rescuers, but she deserves a family to call her own. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
