At a tender age of 3 months old, Maple has already endured her share of hardship. Dumped on the side of a rural road along with her siblings, Maple and her siblings were rescued by a good Samaritan. This little family was brought to a foster home where they waited for an opportunity to be transferred to a rescue(s). Sadly, this foster home was overcrowded with strays. Maple witnessed one of her siblings being attacked by a bigger dog and died from his injuries. Except for feeding times, human interaction was scarce. It is no surprise that Maple was shy with people upon arriving at Buckeye’s, but the good news is she is coming out of her shell and seeks human affections now. Maple is so sweet and you can tell she just wants to love and be loved. Maple does well with dogs. Maple is a 3-month-old Mastiff mix. She is looking for a home who can devote time to building her confidence and guiding her through life. We know Maple will blossom and get to live the life that she deserves. A family with older children is preferred due to her shyness.
