Sable is a sweet, gentle Australian Shepherd with a big smile and a nonstop wiggle butt. At 3–4 years old and around 50 lbs, she is loving, loyal, and happiest when she is close to her people. Sable is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and fostered near Richmond, VA. Sable has wonderful house manners and settles beautifully inside. She is quiet, polite, potty trained, and sleeps well through the night. She has shown herself to be very respectful in the home and waits to be invited before getting on furniture. This lovely girl enjoys walks, has good leash manners, and loves playing fetch. She will happily drop the ball and patiently wait for the next throw. Sable would do best with a family that can give her a consistent routine with regular walks, playtime, companionship, and plenty of affection. Sable gets along well with other dogs and could enjoy a canine friend with a compatible temperament, though she may also do well as the center of attention as an only dog. Because Sable can become sad when left alone, her ideal home would be one where someone is home often or where she can regularly accompany her people. She just loves being around her humans. Sable is gentle, affectionate, well-mannered, and ready to bring warmth, joy, and a whole lot of heart to her forever home.
