About Trixie
Trixie is a petite, golden senior around 6 years old and weighing close to 40 lbs. Sheās still trying to process a big change in her life: shifting from a home to a noisy, stressful shelter after being surrendered. You can see sheās not mean or aggressiveājust scared and unsure in this new world. Volunteers can walk her, but sheās still on edge, often greeting a reaching hand with her high-pitched bark. She isnāt bad. Sheās just caught off guard and overwhelmed. What Trixie really needs is time and patience. Once given a quieter space and the chance to decompress, sheāll have a shot at regaining her peace. Trixie isnāt asking for muchājust one person willing to reassure her and say sheās finally safe again. Sometimes all it takes is a simple act of kindness to transform a life. Give her that chance, and sheāll do her best to meet you halfway. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
