AvailableAbout Louie Sweet Westie Boy
Hey everyone! This is a post we unfortunately have to make but it needs made so we can find this little stinker his happily ever after once and for all! You might have seen a few days ago Louie our 6 year old Westie was adopted, unfortunately last night his new family came to the conclusion it just wasn’t working and these are things we understand. I knew there was a chance Louie may end up coming back. Louie can be “cheeky”. He’s funny, he’s terrible, he’s vocal, he’s a handful, he’s adorable, he’s a terrier, he’s everything fun and exciting about owning a dog but also his exact breed. His short term adoptive family is awesome, they had him groomed, they continued to the care for his skin , and they were extremely knowledgeable in his breed, in fact, they have an older Westy, and that was problem number two. Their Westy was just not about to have another dog in the house, and Louie turned it into a competition. who could drink more water? Louie. Who could eat more? Louie. Who could be the GOAT of the house? Louie. 🙄 I’m rolling my eyes because I know how he is 😂 he was very happy to see me for the third time. At this point I think he believes I go on a lot of vacations and that I’m always going to get him back, but I don’t want that for him, I don’t want him to think that I’m always going to come back. It makes it so hard for dogs to be toggled back and forth. We are going to stick to what we know best with him, even though he fully functions and thrives in my home with tons of other dogs and cats, I really do think somebody who has a fenced in yard and wants a single companion would be the best option for him. Louie is a 6 year old full blooded west highland terrier. He is 15 pounds, he is fully house and crate trained at my house. When he leaves me he tries to pretend he isn’t house trained so he will need someone who can make him stick to the rules and not allow him to be the boss of the house. He will need someone who will crate him during the settling in process, that’s truly the key. Smaller plastic kennels is what Louie prefers and I will help with the exact size someone needs to have so he can be adopted into something that’s familiar to him. He is amazing on a leash, excellent recall, amazing in the car, and would make an excellent walking partner. He is wonderful and fantastic and hilarious. all he is missing is the right home for him! He is fully vetted and his adoption fee is $400. We will not change the fee. Louie is worth his fee. he absolutely loves everybody. He meets, including young children.
