Meet Mia, a one year old Shepherd/Husky mix weighing 37 pounds. Mia is a gentle soul who is looking for a family willing to show her just how good life can be. She came to us as a stray alongside Molly, and it’s clear that much of the world is still very new to her. New places, new experiences, and even simple things can feel a little overwhelming right now. This sweet girl is very submissive and has a soft, gentle nature. She appears to have never really experienced being on a leash before, so it can be a little scary for her, but she is trying her best and wants so badly to do the right thing. Mia has that eager-to-please personality that makes you believe she’s going to blossom with a little patience and encouragement. She could use some TLC and a family that understands the importance of taking things slow. Give her kindness, gentle guidance, and a little time, and you’ll likely get to watch something really special happen—seeing a shy dog discover confidence and happiness.
