About Gigi
Gigi is a 1-year-old, medium-sized German Shepherd mix with a soft apricot, golden, and chocolate coat. She’s vaccinated, spayed, and growing braver and more comfortable in her foster home each day. At first, Gigi greets new situations with cautious curiosity—she tends to hang back and observe, tail tucked, until she knows she’s safe. What stands out is her resilience; underneath that timid nature is a genuinely loving, intelligent companion who's soaking up support from patient humans and the presence of a confident dog. Living with a young child and an older dog, Gigi’s gentle temperament shines. She genuinely enjoys canine company and picks up cues from her furry foster sibling, especially on walks or when exploring something new. Gigi is still building up her house training—she reliably goes outside for bowel movements and uses potty pads indoors, while crate training is off to a good start. Walks are getting easier as she gains confidence on leash. She will thrive in a home that’s calm and reassuring, where she isn’t rushed and can take her time adjusting. Gigi does best with another friendly, confident dog to help her feel safe. Once she trusts you, she transforms into the sweetest, most devoted shadow you could hope for.
