Casey is in a foster home in the Portland area and would love to meet his forever family in the PNW. Casey would like a mom in his forever home. If there is a dad living in the home, that's okay too as long as he's patient and lets Casey get to know him slowly. Casey is a cute little man weighing in at 18 lbs. and is about 2 years old. He is a genuine mutt!! His coat is a beautiful auburn color making him look very unique! Casey was out running in the streets with 2 larger dogs at an apartment complex. The 2 larger dogs were rescued, and Casey was at risk of being alone, so he came to join us at the rescue. Thank goodness he had a Good Samaritan looking out for him! He was very relieved to be rescued! Casey really enjoys the company of dogs and is very playful. He loves people but we think he'd do best with older kids who aren't grabby. He does like to cuddle and sit on available laps. He isn't lazy though and enjoys his 1+ hour daily walks and would be up for a hike or ride in the car. He's a big dog in a compact body. He is crate trained and will go into his crate to relax. He loves to hang out in the yard and doesn't mind the rain. A definite plus in the PNW! He’s just a sweet, playful guy that will be the perfect companion for anyone willing to get to know him.
