Rocky #34 is a gentle, affectionate 10-year-old, 70 lb, teddy bear looking for a calm, loving home where he can enjoy life by your side. This sweet senior loves people and happily greets everyone he meets. Once he feels safe, Rocky becomes a loyal companion who loves affection, quiet time with his person, and cozy companionship. Rocky enjoys the outdoors and loves going for walks where he can explore at his own pace. He walks nicely on leash, stays close to his handler, and enjoys being out with his people. He especially loves squeaky toys and enjoys carrying them around and playing with his favorites. While in the shelter, Rocky was attacked by another dog, which left him fearful and reactive around other dogs. He is currently undergoing professional training and socialization to help him rebuild confidence and learn positive interactions with other dogs. He has been making wonderful progress with leash work, leadership, and basic commands. His adopter will also receive a training session with Rocky and his trainer to help set everyone up for success. Rocky would do best in a quiet, low-traffic home with a fenced yard and a patient adopter who can continue helping him thrive. He is respectful in the home, enjoys car rides, and loves simply being close to his humans. Rocky is ready to find a peaceful forever home where he can feel safe, loved, and truly part of the family.
