About Fiona
Fiona is a two-year-old black Lab mix who brings a lot of heart to her foster home in Killingworth, CT. Life indoors suits her well—she’s mastered house training and hasn’t had a single accident, even during long, lazy mornings. Fiona lives peacefully with two other dogs when introduced thoughtfully and likes to be wherever the people are. She’s quick to learn, knowing commands like sit, lay down, and demonstrating impressive recall: call her once, and she’s at your side, even if she was busy in the yard. Toys and bones keep her entertained, and she’ll toss them around the room for her own amusement. Fiona isn’t destructive and shows excellent self-control with food, never begging at the table. On walks, she’s polite on her Halti collar, but she does become noisy and reactive when she sees dogs on leash or through windows, a work-in-progress with ongoing training. Because of this, she’s best suited to an experienced owner willing to continue helping her work through these behaviors. A fenced, opaque yard gives her space to play and keeps distractions out of sight. She appreciates daily walks as part of her routine. Fiona is loving, enjoys snuggling, and is happiest just hanging out with the people she bonds with. She’s a people-pleaser, content to snooze until brunch, and will be a loyal addition to a patient home. Click apply to start the adoption process.
