Maverick is a social, affectionate dog who has lived successfully with children ages 6, 11, and 18. He enjoys the company of other dogs and has done well at the dog park, often readily engaging in play before returning to his owners when called. He may chase rabbits or cats outdoors and can become excited when meeting new people, sometimes jumping up in greeting. He has also shown a sensitive stomach with abrupt food changes, so a gradual diet transition is recommended.
