About A Boy Named Sue
Meet A Boy Named Sue, a two-year-old long-haired tuxedo who came to the rescue after his previous family could no longer care for him. Sue settled in fast—he’s a laid-back character who will happily lounge by your side or spring up for a lively round of play given the chance. Cuddly and affectionate, he doesn’t hold back from showing his appreciation for attention. Sue lives with FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus), which affects his immune system. He isn’t contagious to people or dogs but can transmit the virus to other cats through close contact, so he either needs a FeLV-only home or must be the only cat. He also manages a condition called pillow foot, making his paw pads a little puffy and at times tender, but with medication and basic care he does well, just requiring a family willing to keep an eye on things. Despite these medical quirks, Sue is social, gentle, and deeply loving. His outlook is cheerful, and neither his health nor his history slows him down. All he wants is a home where he can be safe, cozy, and doted on for who he is. Start your journey together! Apply now.
