26-River Female GSD/mix approx. 1 yr.+ old approx. 46 lbs. Dogs: Yes Kids: Yes Leash Trained: Yes Crate Trained: Yes Housetrained: Yes River is a 46-lb German Shepherd mix. She is estimated to be a year and a half old and has been in Foothill Dog Rescue foster care for the last three weeks. She was spayed on 5/14 and has recovered very well. She doesn't really shed and is the perfect pet that requires little adjustment to a new home. River has a very sweet and calm disposition throughout the day and evenings. She is well liked by other dogs, children and strangers. Initially, she can be skittish when meeting anyone new, but she lets her guard down rather quickly. If another dog wants to play, she will join in if she feels safe, but she will also lie quietly with another dog when it's time to relax. She loves walks, does not bark unless someone comes to the door, incredibly friendly and is interested in getting to know you! She doesn't cry, is crate trained, potty trained, loves car rides, understands specific commands well and is just a joy to have around! She sleeps in a crate or a dog bed whichever you prefer. She already knows not to get on furniture unless you invite her. She can stay home alone for a few hours (that has been the max so far). She is not afraid of water/pools. She loves cuddles, combining puppy-like energy and happiness with obedience and maturity. She does NOT chew on furniture, shoes, etc. River really is the ideal dog for an attentive family who will have time for her. She just wants a safe and loving home with people who want her as much as she wants them! Our adult dog adoption fee is $350 (with $5 processing fee if paid by card) and fee for pups under 4 months old is $400 (with $5 processing fee if paid by card). Adoption fee includes spay or neuter, rabies, DAPP and Bordetella vaccines, deworming, microchip, heart worm test and lifetime registration.
