Spencer is, without question, one of the nicest cats we’ve had the pleasure of meeting in a long time. Around 1 1/2 years old, this handsome orange gentleman has the kind of sweet, easygoing personality that makes everyone stop, smile, and say, “Okay… he’s special.” He has been winning hearts left and right with his gentle nature and lovable little face. Spencer is friendly, calm, affectionate, and just seems happy to be part of whatever is going on around him. He’s the type of cat who makes you feel chosen simply by looking your way. We aren’t completely sure yet how Spencer feels about other animals, but so far, he hasn’t made a negative peep about anyone. Based on his wonderfully chill personality, we think he would likely do well in many loving homes with a proper introduction. Spencer is ready to trade his kennel for a couch, a sunny window, and a family who realizes they just hit the orange-cat jackpot. ADOPTION INFORMATION HOW TO GO ABOUT ADOPTING: - Come in during adoption hours to apply and fill out an application completely. We have applications on site. Open adoption hours take place at 44 Worthington Road in Cranston, RI. We are open every Wednesday 3-7pm and Saturday 10am-2pm. - Fill out an online application to adopt by clicking here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HORI/Cat - We require proof of homeownership (tax form, deed, mortgage statement) or landlord approval (a copy of your lease that clearly states you are allowed to have a dog, puppy, cat, or kitten OR written and signed consent from your landlord. - We require copies of up to date vet records for any current pets. Helpful reminders: *We do not do same day adoptions. *Please bring the entire family in to meet the animal you are interested in. *We will setup a meet and greet with your dog at a later date. PLEASE do not bring your dog with you when you come in to apply.
