Calliope is a 2-year-old, 12-pound pug who came to us as an owner surrender after spending her life living outside. When she arrived, we noticed she wasn't using one of her back legs. X-rays revealed devastating injuries - her leg had been shattered for quite some time, and she also had a broken pelvis. This sweet girl must have been living in unimaginable pain without any veterinary care. To finally give her relief from the pain, Calliope had her leg amputated - and she has never looked back. Now she runs like the wind and lives life with pure joy. She has the happiest personality, loves everyone she meets, and even has the sweetest little snore. Despite everything she has endured, Calliope remains loving, gentle, and full of life. Now safe in rescue, she is finally receiving the love, comfort, and care she always deserved. Her past may have been heartbreaking, but her future is bright, happy, and full of cuddles! Calliope is now ready for her very own family and a princess bed of her own to curl up in and snore the night away.
