About Chaga

Written: 4/15/26 Age: 8 weeks, 10lbs Breed: Believed Border Collie Mix Bio Updated: 5/11/26 Meet Chaga! Chaga is a male, possibly collie mix, born Feb. 2026! He is good with cats, kids and other dogs! He is working on his potty/crate training and doing well! He rides great in the car, and doesnโ€™t have any accidents or make a peep. He is inquisitive, and loves to follow you around and lay his head on your feet. One of his favorite things is to get the kids in his foster home off the bus and trot his way down to the bus stop! He adores snuggles, whether it be inside on the couch or in the playhouse with the kiddos! He loves to run around and roll in the grass! This sweet, perfect boy is ready for his furever home! He is being fostered in Richmond, VA and is up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, has been dewormed, and is on monthly preventatives. His adoption fee is $375 and covers the cost of age-appropriate core vaccinations, microchip, and required neuter when age-appropriate. We require that all adopters, regardless of the dogโ€™s age, are committed to ongoing training and socialization as part of responsible ownership. To apply to adopt Chaga, visit www.beaglesandbentleys.org/adopt. Spay/Neuter Disclosure: Spay/Neuter will be scheduled when age-appropriate and is covered in the adoption fee. We require adopters to be within a reasonable distance of Richmond or Virginia Beach in order to complete spay/neuter with our approved clinics. Note: Sending a Petfinder inquiry is not submitting an application. We require a completed adoption application to move forward with adoption. Beagles and Bentleys has an across-the-board evaluative process that we apply to every application we review that prioritizes our animals in need. We conduct a vet reference check (all resident dogs must be altered/up to date on dhpp/rabies and monthly preventatives, and cats must be altered and up to date on rabies) and a virtual home visit call where we discuss the adoption process and see your home.
