Thunderbolt is a 5 year -old black bi Australian Shepherd. He came to rescue after his owner’s schedule changed and she didn’t have enough time for him while working full time and going to school. Because of that, he’s now looking for a more consistent home where he can get the attention and structure he thrives on. Thunderbolt is a very affectionate, Velcro-type dog who likes to stay close to his people and follow them from room to room. He does have a bit of anxiety when left alone, but he settles more easily with routine—turn on some country music and he tends to relax and “hang out” rather than focus on being alone. He’s very people-focused and looks to his handler for guidance. He wants to please and does best with someone who can give him reassurance, structure, and companionship. His compatibility with kids and cats is a positive one. He did live with young kids and cats for 3 years and did fine.
