Prairie is a one-year-old orange tabby who’s more than ready to leave his rough start behind and discover what it means to be safe, comfortable, and cared for. Life hasn’t been easy for him so far, and it shows a little—his eyes still carry signs of past untreated upper respiratory infections, and he has a slight limp in his step. But none of that defines who he is. Beneath it all is a gentle, sensitive boy who just needs a little time to feel secure. Prairie can be a bit shy at first and is understandably overwhelmed by big changes, but with patience and a calm environment, he’s already starting to show glimpses of the sweet cat he’s meant to be. He’s looking for a quiet home where he can settle in at his own pace, with someone who sees the beauty in a cat who needs a little extra care and understanding.
