About Boomer
Boomer is a sweet, gentle shepherd mix, around a year old and weighing about 50 pounds, who craves pets and attention. He was found stray in Kentucky, ended up in a crowded shelter, and is now safe with Stop the Suffering. Boomer hasn’t had basic training yet—he knows how to listen, but still needs to learn commands and leash manners. Since he’s leash reactive, continued patient training is a must. He does well with other dogs after structured introductions, though he’s understandably anxious from all the recent changes. Boomer did fine in his initial cat test, but again, slow introductions work best. He warms up to everyone in the home and thrives on affection. Boomer loves having a furry playmate, enjoys romping around the yard, and can’t resist splashing in puddles. He’s up to date on vaccines and is neutered. Boomer needs an Ohio family ready to keep up his training and help him settle in, preferably with another playful dog. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
