About Alfonzo "dusty Spurs" Delgado

Out here, they whisper about a drifter with a name that sounds like trouble and a personality that absolutely refuses to cooperate. Alfonzo "Dusty Spurs" Delgado. Two to three years old. Thirteen pounds. Built like a legend. Operating like a cuddle lounge. He has the aesthetic of a gunslinger and the emotional range of a very committed blanket. Cat friendly. Ridiculously sweet. Chill in a way that feels almost philosophical, like he's already done the math on life and concluded the optimal strategy is "stay close, be soft, repeat." His vibe? Immaculate. His agenda? Sit on you. His long-term goals? Also sit on you. Now-when it comes to other dogs, Alfonzo keeps his circle very small. Now, there is one line in his story worth mentioning-not as a warning, but as context. Alfonzo is heartworm positive, but he has already started treatment, and his rescue is finishing it completely until he's negative. The situation is handled. The outcome is expected. The only thing you need to worry about is whether your couch is prepared for this level of affection. He does have a twin-an almost suspiciously identical counterpart-but Alfonzo stands perfectly well on his own. No supporting cast required. No sequel necessary. He is the whole narrative. A tiny outlaw whose version of "riding off into the sunset" is migrating from one cozy spot to another with you included. No chaos. No drama. No unnecessary plot twists. Just a small, soft creature with dusty spurs and an unwavering commitment to companionship. And somewhere, in a place that smells faintly of leather and tall tales, someone says: "Don't let the name fool you... That one ain't dangerous. He's deliberate." Breed labels are given based on information obtained during intake and/or best guesses based on appearance and/or temperament of the dogs and Take Paws Rescue gives no assurance to the accuracy of these labels. Labels are necessary for postings to many animal networking sites, such as our website, Chewy, Pet Finder, and others. These are in no way a guarantee. Additionally, exact age and potential size cannot be guaranteed. ***Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters across the South, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures.
