About Lulu

This sweet 2 year old Shih Tzu mix is an affectionate, energetic little dog who loves being close to her people. She gets very excited when you come home — lots of tail wagging and happy jumping to greet you at the door. She is good with kids and other dogs, enjoys cuddling on the couch, and prefers to be near her human whenever possible. She is also crate trained and sleeps comfortably in her crate at night. She is non-shedding as well. She recently had to have a haircut, so her coat is shorter at the moment, but she’ll be even cuter once her hair grows back in. While she waits for her fluffy look to return, she has been modeling a variety of fashion options. She is not a big barker and has a very sweet temperament. She can be a little anxious at times and will need time to gain confidence and trust. She will go potty outside but is not fully potty trained yet. She will need patience, consistency, reminders, and positive reinforcement as she continues to learn. She is very food motivated, which helps with training. She would do well with someone looking for a friendly companion dog who enjoys attention, affection, and being part of everyday life. Then a telephone interview will take place, references checked and a home visit will be conducted. We will then arrange for you to meet the dog. We require that all family members, including current dogs meet the dog prior to adoption. We put all of the known information in the animals description. If the animal is listed on the website, we are still accepting applications for that animal. We only remove the animal when the final adoption paperwork is signed. The best way to contact us is by email at placingpaws@yahoo.com. It is very difficult for the limited numbers of volunteers to return all calls. Thank you.
