Larry is a tender-hearted senior gentleman with a quiet resilience that shines through in everything he does. After a difficult past, he’s still choosing love—and he’s hoping to find someone who will choose him right back. Fully housetrained and wonderfully well-mannered, Larry will gently come find you and give you that knowing look when he needs something. He doesn’t require a crate and does beautifully when left alone, especially when he feels safe and secure in his environment. This charming little companion is happiest right by your side. He’ll follow you from room to room, checking in often, and happily settling nearby for a nap. Larry adores the outdoors—whether it’s lounging by the door, relaxing on a deck, or enjoying a few short, leisurely walks each day. Though his hearing isn’t the best, he stays closely attuned to his person, taking cues from your presence and routine. He gets along well with other dogs and shows a gentle curiosity toward them, and he’s proven to be a polite, easygoing house guest. Larry can be a bit sensitive—both physically and emotionally—so he’s looking for a calm, adult home where he can continue to build trust at his own pace. He may be shy at first, especially around taller men or in new situations, but with patience and kindness, his affectionate, cuddly nature blossoms. He doesn’t enjoy being picked up, but once he’s comfortable, he absolutely loves being close and soaking up gentle attention. Sweet, loyal, and deeply devoted, Larry is the kind of companion who will quietly steal your heart and stay there. We love our dogs. We want happy lives for all of them and are looking for the home that provides the best fit for each dog’s individual needs.
