Peter is a very stoic Man, and we love him, despite how serious he is. He came to us from a complicated 17 cat neglect situation, and even though he's had roommates, he's an independent guy that would do best as a single cat in a quiet home. Now this is what makes him tricky: He's not a mean dude, but due to his aforementioned situation, it's taking him some time to understand that humans just want to be his bestie. He'll hang out in a room with you, greet you at mealtime, curiously sniff your hand.. but he's not quite ready to be pet yet. Contact us! -- Every PALS cat and kitten has been spayed/neutered, microchipped, tested negative for FeLV/FIV and is up-to-date on vaccinations. A note about kittens: if you are adopting a kitten, they may need to complete their FVRCP (distemper) series and may not be old enough for their rabies vaccination. These essential vaccines will be the responsibility of their new owner. Detailed vet records and a calendar of vaccination due dates will be provided. The PALS Adoption Center, located inside PetSmart at 10 Traders Way in Salem, MA (just off Highland Ave/Rte 107) BY APPOINTMENT ONLY TO APPROVED ADOPTERS. Adoption applications can be found online at www.palscats.org. A completed application is not necessarily an approved application. We do ask for written landlord approval if you rent, or proof of home ownership (water bill, etc.) We will also check your vet references. You will be contacted by our adoption staff once your application has been approved. Please note it can take up to 48 hours.
