Joxer is a 32-pound lovebug who came to Fetching Tails Foundation from a shelter in Texas after being surrendered by his owner. While we may never know his full story, it was clear when he arrived that life had not always been kind to him. He showed signs of past neglect, including what the vet believed was previous mange and a severe eye infection. Thankfully, with proper care, love, and patience, Joxer is now healthy, comfortable, and truly beginning to enjoy life. This sweet boy is incredibly dog friendly and does well with dogs of all sizes. He has a calm, easygoing nature and mostly enjoys peacefully coexisting with his canine companions. Joxer is also potty trained, crate trained, and wonderful with people of all ages. His gentle demeanor and loving personality make him an easy addition to a calm and caring home. Joxer has a low energy level and is happiest simply being near his humans. His favorite place in the world is curled up beside you — or even better, in your lap — soaking up affection and companionship. Everything still feels a little new to him, from car rides to vet visits, but he handles it all with quiet bravery. On his first car ride, he was understandably nervous and laid quietly on the floor of the car. During bath time, he simply stood still and soaked in his oatmeal bath like the sweet gentleman he is. There is something incredibly special about Joxer. He has a soulful, gentle presence that makes everyone fall in love with him. Watching him discover kindness, comfort, and love has been beautiful, and now he’s ready to find a forever family who will continue showing him the life he always deserved.
