About Nanna
Nanna is a one-year-old Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler mix who weighs about 40 pounds and is ready to settle into a loving home. After starting life as a stray in Texas, she’s proven herself to be surprisingly upbeat, social, and affectionate. She’s dog friendly, and once she’s given a chance to warm up, she becomes a total social butterfly—she loves romping and playing with other dogs and rarely turns down a round of fetch or a sunbath on the porch. Nanna comes fully potty trained and comfortable with crate time, and she handles long stretches indoors just fine. Her favorite things are belly rubs, stuffed toys, lounging on the couch, and being close to her people. She can be energetic in the mornings but settles into a nap once she’s had exercise and attention. Nanna is goofy, loving, and always ready for cuddles. She will need an adopter committed to helping her grow more confident on walks, as she can get reactive when passing other dogs on leash. Training and patience are important. Nanna also manages seasonal allergies with medication and could use a stable environment and structure to thrive. Take a chance on her—she’ll pay you back with endless loyalty and plenty of laughs.
