About Vega

Meet Vega, a stunning six-year-old Rottweiler with a blocky head, an enormous presence, and a whole lot of love to spare. After her previous home didn’t work out, Vega landed at our shelter carrying a few extra pounds and a longing to be someone’s center of the universe. She’s spent time with other dogs before, but these days, she’s much happier as the only canine in the home—she wants all your affection (and couch space) to herself. This girl is big, even by Rottweiler standards. When she arrived, Vega was extremely overweight; we’ve started her on a healthier path, and she’ll need a family eager to keep her moving, sticking to a steady routine of activity and smart eating. Her weight loss journey isn’t finished yet, so consistency and patience are a must. But underneath, Vega is pure loyalty and devotion; once she’s chosen you, she’ll stick by your side and charm you with her gentle nature and those soulful Rottie eyes. Vega is affectionate, sweet, and happiest when glued to her people. She soaks up every bit of love and will fill the home with presence, humor, and that classic Rottweiler loyalty. She does not get along with other dogs but adores children, making her a wonderful fit for families who want a dog to be their one and only. If you want a steady, loyal companion and a big softy who just wants to belong, Vega is waiting. Your new best friend is just one click away.
