Meet Trixie Trixie is a beautiful 2-year-old mixed breed weighing about 38 pounds, with a gorgeous auburn-red coat and a sweet, slightly shy personality. We think Trixie may have some Black Mouth Cur in her mix, possibly blended with another working breed, but without a DNA test, shes officially a beautiful mixed breed. Trixie came to Canine Collective from the hills of Kentucky and has been steadily showing us what a gentle, deserving dog she is. Trixie is a graduate of our North Central prison obedience program, where she worked on her manners and basic skills. She walks nicely on a slip lead, rode well in the transport van, and was calm and well-behaved at the doctors office. She can be a bit shy at first, but she is very sweet once she feels safe. Trixie would likely enjoy having another friendly dog in the home as a playmate and running buddy, though she does not need to be adopted with another dog.
