Nix is a 3-year-old Labrador Retriever and Great Pyrenees mix, and he brings together all the best traits of both breeds. Big and gentle, Nix thrives on affection and sticks close to his people, always looking for a reassuring word or a gentle touch. He’s attentive and eager to please, a loyal friend who values stability and connection more than adventure. During his past, Nix had a habit of wandering, but since being neutered and welcomed into foster care, he’s shown a clear preference for home life—always at the door ready to come back inside after a few minutes outside. Stability and togetherness now mean the most to him. Nix is friendly with both large and small dogs and has no trouble adapting to city life. He’s house and kennel trained, knows basic commands like sit, shake, down, spin, and turn, and he takes treats with a gentle mouth. He walks nicely on leash and is comfortable out in public, greeting people politely for attention and pets. With his calm energy, he fits easily into everyday life, happy to be your shadow and companion in whatever you are doing. Nix is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm and fecal tested negative, and on preventatives. For someone seeking an affectionate, loyal dog who genuinely wants to be part of each day, Nix is a great fit. He looks for a home that welcomes him fully into daily routines.
